After years of moving across the country as a Navy family, we decided it was time to embrace a different way of living—one centered on adventure, connection, community, and the freedom to follow our hearts. Sailing became our path to slow down, reconnect as a family, and create a life rooted in experiences rather than expectations.

Our journey began in San Diego aboard our first liveaboard, Bare Necessities, in 2023. That experience introduced us to the incredible boating community and inspired us to dream bigger. Today, aboard Wander, our 2014 Fountaine Pajot Helia 44, we have sailed from Florida through the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, the Dominican Republic, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, embracing the challenges, lessons, and unforgettable moments that come with life at sea.

Along the way, we’ve discovered that this journey is about much more than sailing. It’s about worldschooling our son, building meaningful relationships, living closer to nature, supporting local communities, and learning to trust the winds, the tides, and ourselves. As our journey continues, Puerto Rico—and especially the island of Vieques—has become our Caribbean home base, while Wander remains our vehicle for exploration, adventure, and discovery.

Guided by faith, family, gratitude, and a deep love for the ocean, we share our story to encourage others to  dream boldly, live intentionally, and create a life that feels aligned with their values.
